Distance Learning Wiki: http://tailearn.pbwiki.com

The aim of this wiki is to collect experiences of people involved in Distance Learning as students, managers or researchers. One feature is links to articles, courses and other distance learning-related sites. It is also a space where articles or workshop notes related to DL can be uploaded. This project is still in its initial stages, so if you would like to contribute to this venture, please contact tailearn@yahoo.com with details of your potential contribution.

Forthcoming Events

How about a Research Morning?
Is anyone doing research into independent learning issues?
Has anyone recently done a dissertation on independent learning (IL)?
Is anyone piloting, monitoring or evaluating aspects of ILCs?
Is anyone researching a technology or web-based project involving IL?
If you are interested in presenting your IL-related research, or attending such an event, please get in touch.
We envisage a small, supportive, discussion group event…
What do YOU think?

ILC Coordinators' Forum
This is a specialist event for ILC personnel and colleagues interested in setting up ILCs. We have tried to make contact with ILC, IT, library and resource centre personnel throughout the UAE to invite them to this event. If such staff at your institution have not been contacted and you believe this event might be of interest to them, kindly ask them to contact us. The meeting will be held on December 7, 2 - 4:30 pm at the British Council in Dubai.
